Why
We Do What We Do
At The Nurture Nature Connection (NNC), we understand that raising a child on the autism spectrum can sometimes be challenging.
Our mission
1. to support your family by fostering connections within your community
2. to provide tools that will help your child best communicate their purest expression of self.
3. to come alongside you with behavioral strategies that fit the needs and values of your family and child
…….because it is through your guidance, modeling, and CONNECTION as parents, that the foundation of your child’s future is built.
What is ABA?
autismspeaks.org
“Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior” (autismspeaks.org).
CDC.gov
“ABA encourages desired behaviors and discourages undesired behaviors to improve a variety of skills. Progress is tracked and measured” (cdc.gov).
At NNC, therapy sessions are conducted using ABA, within the context of your child’s natural environment, and with an emphasis on reinforcement, motivation, and connection. We aim to embrace each child’s core strengths and provide an environment that values authenticity.

What is Autism?
Autism is a Spectrum.
Autism may affect communication, motor and sensory processing, socialization, and regulation of feelings and emotions. The range of how these domains are affected varies drastically across individuals with an autism spectrum diagnosis. Medically, it is defined as a neurological disorder, however many refer to autism as simply a different way of thinking.
“When we help ourselves, we find moments of happiness. When we help others, we find lasting fulfillment.”
